Hey, guy

You've done a good job here and it sounds like you put a lot of work into it. I am pleased that you've tried (and succeeded) to give the song a new flavor. Most people just turn songs into dance remixes or something like that which doesn't take much thought. This is not a remix like that. This remix, I feel should be heralded as one of the greater Zelda mixes.

Now there are things about it that I, personally, didn't find to be pleasant. The violin parts in the opening and ending sound very linear and this makes it sound synthetic. I also think that the piano could use a little bit more reverb on it. Now, whether it was your intention to do the afore mentioned or not, I don't know and therefore can not truly give advice.

I'll say that you've given it a great title as this was the first song I noticed in the portal today. Keep on cranking out those tunes there, guy.

Ossikater responds:

Thanks for the review! Well I can tell you that I cant make it perfect because my software does not have the power to use many effects at the same time. The song starts to lag and then it suddenly breaks the whole track. I do also have trouble with the piano cause its not recorded in a mic. I create and edit note after note after note and sometimes really pisses me of sometime. I cant wait to get a mic and create/write real songs with lyrics etc. Once again thanks for your time to write this review! Hope you enjoy my other creations too! :)

Huh..

Well, it's good to see you got on the top 5, congrats. It's not really what I expected it to be but I'll give you points for being innovative. The breakdown is good and overall it's a pleasant remix. I'm just sad that there are no vocals and it is a little on the short side.

SessileNomad responds:

win some lose some

Well

I like it but, you claim that you wanted to make it more powerful. I'm not getting that kind of feel from it. In fact, it feels kind of weaker and a little synthetic. I suggest using a real guitar and maybe a more crunchy bass synth, maybe put some grungy sounding distortion on it. The drums could be the slightest bit louder, I'm not saying how loud they are is bad, I just feel like they could be a little louder.

Anyway, good job and don't stop trying.

Retrodelux responds:

maybe powerful wasnt the correct wording.. either way... simple remake of a awesome song...

Wow man

I love how everything you touch turns to fucking gold. Great job on the mix. It makes me think of videogame boss music.

maccormack responds:

Haha, oh flattery.
Thanks a lot man.

This is what I'm

Fucking talking about! We need more artists who appreciate noise. This is the first song on NG where I clicked download as soon as I heard the opening. Only beastly music gets a 10 out of fucking 10 from me and you get a 10 out of fucking 10.

I'm not even sure what this makes me picture.

BTW suck my dong.

Gritchy responds:

MY PUSSY GAVE HEAD TO A SHIT DICK

Yeah

I get that this is more of an interpretation but I just don't like it. No matter how many times I listen to it I just think you could have done a better job.

DmNt responds:

Don't feel bad if it sucks ass tell me, lol.

I'm gonna redo the whole thing I think. Improve percussion is top priority, and I'd like to add my own original arrangement in there to break off from the game version.

Nice

It's done pretty well. Don't worry about length, when it comes to this sort of thing, length is good. Good to hear someone else using live instrumentation and Audacity on here besides me.

Now, for what I picture:
It sounds like green. Green and dark where my strings are pulled back and almost broken. Corroded and grimey. There are fans blowing my hair and getting grime and soot all over my face. I can't see much anymore, there's too much shit on my eyes. I knocked over a clock in the darkness. I think it broke.

Kogasu responds:

Yeah, I just don't want people getting bored of it hehe but I guess if you're interested enough in it you can listen to the entire thing.

Nice visualization too hehe. I always wonder what other people visualize on different songs so yeah that's just kewl to me.

Thanks for your review! :D

ARE YOU SHITTIN' ME?!

People think this sucks? They can go to hell yo, I thought it was straight. I love it mang you keep up the good work.

I picture like a frozen machine or something. Like a machine that doesn't need heat to work and is covered in ice. Yeah?

SeeD419 responds:

Well at least someone out there understands me ;)

Much love.

Slightly...

The song, I thought, was pretty ok. I feel like I've heard it before. I did like the beginning but other than that it seems average and unsatisfactory. Also the "Your services are no longer required" bit was slightly annoying.

superuberinsaneausm responds:

thanks!

Finally

Man, so many people on here upload stuff and call it "Ambient" but it's definitely not. Now THIS is ambient music! I really can't complain about it. The drums were at a perfect volume and everything was well mixed. The only problem I had with it was that it was rather short, but that makes you want to listen to it again so, good strategy. I don't usually like giving things a 10/10 but you deserve it mate.

blacknote responds:

Hey man, I'm glad you liked it! I did have a longer version somewhere, but this was all I could find.

Although as you said, I guess it gives it more of a repetitive listening value. Thanks for reviewing!
